Mark H. Boyer

President

Mark graduated from the Marshall School of Business at USC in 1985 with a degree in Finance. He first went on to play eight years in the National Football League, starting at tight end for the Indianapolis Colts and New York Jets. Upon retiring due to injury, Mark began working at a local advisory firm for eight years where his own money was being managed. In 2002, he started Boyer Financial Services, a full-service wealth management firm in Newport Beach, CA. In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing pickle ball, fishing, camping, traveling and reading. Mark is married to his wife Janna, they have five children, and 18 grandchildren (and counting).

A former collegiate football player and Newport Beach native. Jason began his career in the financial services industry in 2013 at a Fortune 500 company where he developed a passion for the global financial markets. In 2022, Jason earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation; and with over 70 areas of expertise, he is excited to assist his clients with the complexities that come during the financial planning process. His hospitality background has groomed him into delivering a client-centric experience focused on delivering exceptional services tailored to each individual, athlete, family, or business. In his spare time, Jason loves to spend time with his wife, Melissa, and 3 sons (Jaxon, Luca, & Miles). You can find them at the gym, down at the beach, on the water, traveling the world, or dining around town.

JD MacWillie

Chief Compliance Officer

JD, a graduate of the Rossier School of Education at USC in 2019 with a teaching degree, embarked on his professional journey by immersing himself in the realms of science and mathematics at Servite High School. Transitioning from education to the hospitality sector, he assumed a pivotal role in crafting and upholding compliance standards. This experience sculpted his ethos around providing unparalleled client experiences. Leveraging his compliance prowess, JD currently steers all aspects of compliance as a compliance officer. Beyond his professional endeavors, he finds solace in the company of his wife, Carlie, and indulges in leisurely pursuits like pickleball matches and strolls along the shoreline. Engaged in his local church, JD’s familial bond extends to his daughters, Josie, and Janna, though they carry the memory of Emma, who departed in 2020.

Carlie MacWillie

Client Services Manager

Carlie graduated from Vanguard University in 2015 with a degree in Business Administration. While finishing her degree, she participated in an internship for Boyer Financial Services, Inc. where she learned the basics of working in the financial services industry. Upon graduation, Carlie continued to work as an administrative assistant and now manages all facets of the client experience. In her spare time, Carlie enjoys spending time with her husband, JD; playing pickle ball, walks on the beach, and being involved in her local church. Carlie and JD have 3 girls, Emma (went to be with Jesus in 2020), Josie, and Janna.

Janna Boyer

Operations Manager

Janna graduated from Long Beach State in 1989 with a degree in Business. Since 2002, she has been responsible for business, compliance, and accounting operations. Making sure the ship runs efficiently for decades to come. She has been married to Mark for over 40 years and together they have raised 5 children, and 18 grandchildren (and counting). Some of Janna’s favorite activities are to spend time with Mark and the grandkids, travel, read, and play pickle ball.
